Candide is a rich satire brimming with adventure, surprise and an extraordinarily diverse musical score that tells the story of the title character in pursuit of his love Cunegonde and “The Best of All Possible Worlds.” Based on the work of seventeenth century French author Voltaire (who is also a character onstage), this production featured a cast of nearly forty, a full orchestra and the rich production values Monterey Bay audiences have come to expect.
